Born and raised in Wilton, Connecticut, Marshall Blanchard has pursued his passion for food for much of his life. A graduate of the legendary Culinary Institute of America program at Hyde Park, Marshall’s classical training extends to additional education specifically devoted to both pastry and bread-baking skills.

Drawn to the rugged beauty of Colorado, Marshall headed west where he has made a name for himself in the Vail/Beaver Creek area, spending the last 11 years as the Executive Chef at Restaurant D’Oro and The Golden Eagle. He has spread his enthusiasm and shared his skills as a teacher at Colorado Mountain College and host of a monthly cooking show featured on Vail’s TV8. A regular competitor at the Beaver Creek Food Network culinary festival, Marshall has also worked with Bon Apetit and Food & Wine Magazine. 

Extremely committed to high quality food and locally sourced ingredients, Marshall and his family have migrated to Kauai and we are delighted to have him as part of our executive team at The Beach House where he presides over our kitchen with a skilled hand and a watchful eye.
